Is there a way to import an audio file that runs for the
duration of the complete PPT presentation?

I would like to import a 30 minute speech and then as the
speech runs in PPT I would like to time sync the slides by
bring them up at the proper time. ---- Is there any way to
do this?-----

Thank You
Dan Ayo

Thanks for the input!

I need the slides to come up at a certain time that syncs
with the speech.

For example: when the speaker says "we've moved into a new
building", I want to have an image of the new building
appear. The slides must time sync with the audio. I know I
can cut the audio file and place it with the image, but
this would require a lot of work. I would prefer to use
the entire audio file in the beginning if possible.

Again Thanks,
Danny Ayo

Take a look at Slide Show > Rehearse Timings.

PPT is not very good at synching sounds and slides/animations.

You might want to consider using Producer or, if you're dealing with just
images on the slides, Windows Movie Maker to do this project.

Thanks for the replies. I need the audio to play through
all slides, but the slides must be time synced to the
audio.

Then PowerPoint is not the right application for you. Echo has suggested two
others.
