Immediate logoff after logging in win 2k

Hi,

Whenever I try to log into my Win 2k Pro OS, type in my
password it acts as if it is going to log me in, but I
immediately get logged out to the logon screen.

Anyone seen this?

I have a dual boot system with Windows XP. I haven't used
the Windows 2000 portion in some time and when I tried to
log in here recently is when I experienced the problem.

It seems that your hard disk configuration has changed since
you last launched Win2000. Copy userinit.exe to \winnt\system32
on every other drive visible to Win2000, in order to get going. You
should then point HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/Current
Version/Winlogon/Userinit to the correct location of userinit.exe
