IMAP server has closed the connection

I get this message sometimes:

Your IMAP server has closed the connection. This may
occure if you have left the connection idle for too long.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

I see it also. I can force it to occure when I use another email client
to connect into the same IMAP account. I don't know if it's IMAP or
Outlook which doesn't like two connections.

Just ignore it. It will reconnect next time it goes to get mail.
Shouldn't be getting in your way. I wish there was a way to avoid the
message by not having Outlook even tell me as the "news" seems, as far
as I can tell, completely inconsequential.

I run my own IMAP server on Linux, and I can't find any timeout settings
on the server side either.

Anyway ... just ignore it is my advice.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
