Images not appearing in IE, but work in FireFox.

Hi

I have my Web Site / Forum hosted on a Linux platform with Cpanel as the
front end.

I have enabled hotlink protection for my images and have specified the
correct URL's.

With in the forum (phpbb2) I have a mod that automatically resizes the
forum images if they are to large.

This works well, when you click on the image it opens in a new window
and the image is shown full screen.

However this only seems to work in FireFox....

In Internet Explorer, when you click on the image the new window opens
and the image is not shown. Instead you are redirected to the URL
specified in the Hot Link Protection page in Cpanel.

WHY ? Does IE block any page headers that are needed to identify where
you are coming from ?

The only other time I have seen this is with ZoneAlarm or Norton
Internet Security Suite, which need you to add the web site / forum URL
to their trusted site list.

I have set up a test post here:
http://test.adslweb.co.uk/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=27#27 (no login details
needed)

With an image, so you can see what happens.

I don't think this is a Cpanel or Forum issue, but may be an IE issue..

Thanks :)

Any Ideas ?

i had this problem also after i installed IE7 b3. i got it fixed by going to
the program menu in the tools menu and clicked on managed add-ons. i saw
there that the add-ons were disabled and don't know why. I enabled what i
needed and it took care of the problem. I'm using layman's term so it will be
understandable to all
