Images in IE6 are ugly and stretched with 1920 by 1200 res on note

I have 1920 by 1200 resolution set on my 15.4in screen of Dell Inspiron 6000
(just got new notebook)) and when I view Internet pages, icons graphical text
and pictures look stretched kind of... As if one would magnify low resolution
picture to a bigger size. This happens to images only in internet explorer
only. Text itself is fine and perfect. What is the problem? I thought to
reinstall the explorer 6, but upparently to do that I need to reinstall the
whole SP2, which Is not listed in Add/remove and which is I am working on
right now. Anybody else have that?

In IE go to Tools...Internet Options...Advanced tab, Multimedia section and
toggle the checkbox under "Enable Automatic Image Resizing", click Apply,
