Most of the Images and logos appearing in Internet page (IE 7) are blurred
for the past two weeks; this is a big problem for me. Why?. I am using
Windows Vista in a new Laptop.

If you are using any dial-up accelerator turn it off.

I had this when I first upgraded to Vista. It ISNT an IE problem. It was
caused by the display settings. If I remember correctly I cured it by
changing the DPI settings in the display area.

All of my images are blurred when using Internet Explorer (version 7) It is
in my email and all other web pages. I have had no luck in any of my
searched that give any sort of explination other than this thread but when I
use Firefox there is no problem so it would seem to me that it is not the
display settings.

Hi,
Windows XP or Vista?

Were any changes made just before this problem started?
A new third-party security program?
New monitor?

Hi Don,
We have windows XP. I use Firefox and my husband uses internet explorer so
Im not sure exactly when it started but we have no new monitor or third party
security program at all. I assuming it has to be something to dowith
Internet explorer since there is no problem with any images off line of when
using Firefox.
Thanks for your help!!

Hi,
1. In Internet Options> Advanced> Multimedia, uncheck "Enable automatic
image resizing" if it's checked.

2. From Control Panel> Display> Settings> Advanced> General, if the DPI
setting is something other than 96 dpi, set it to 96. See if that resolves
the image problem.

3. Are you running a download accelerator/web accelerator, probably provided
by your ISP? AOL, NetZero, Earthlink and others make these available to
dial-up customers. They degrade image quality as a side effect. Check the
System Tray/Notification Area and Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) to see if
an accelerator program is running.

4. Start IE without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.

For troubleshooting information see:

Hi Don,
YOU have FIXED IT!!! Can't believe it was that simple!! It was the high
speed for net zero! Neither the unchecking of the "Enable automatic
image resizing" nor starting IE without add-ons made a difference BUT when
I turned off the highspeed for netzero and refreshed..there was our clear
picture!! WOW, thanks so much!!!
Apparently it effect the images in IE but not through Firefox!!

Again thanks so much for your time and efforts here!!
