Imaged PC runs hardware wizard?

Deployed an image of a IBM ThinkCentre PC to another identical PC and a h/w
wizard runs ever boot and finds 'Volume' but can't install it. (was
sysprepped)
Here's a cut from setupapi.log:

What is really strange is that this image works fine on other identical
machines. Same BIOS version and same model number.
Any ideas?

Jetro

Looks like Windows cannot sign a disk - disable boot sector protection in
the BIOS and rewrite MBR.

Jetro,
The BIOS has Virus Detection: Disabled.
(Sounded good though)
The error msg every boot is "Cannot install this hardware"
"Volume" (h/w wizard)
Does not allow for optional driver install.
Once this window is gone, system appears fine until next reboot - same msg.
Any other suggestions?

Jetro,
Back in the DOS days, I used 'fdisk /MBR'
What tools do you suggest today to try to retify this issue?

W2k and above has Recovery Console which can be run off original CD. While
in console run *map* and *fixmbr*. Another useful command is *fixboot*,
you'll figure.

Jetro,

Tried FIXMBR, but it did not fix my problem.

When booting, the h/w wizard appears:

CANNOT INSTALL THIS HARDWARE
THERE WAS A PROBLEM INSTALLING THIS HARDWARE
'VOLUME'
THE DRIVER INSTALL FILE IS MISSING.
AN ERROR OCCURRED INSTALLING THIS DEVICE:
THE DRIVER INSTALLATION FILE FOR THIS DEVICE IS MISSING A NECESSARY ENTRY.
THIS MAY BE BECAUSE THE INF WAS WRITTEN FOR WINDOWS95 OR LATER. CONTACT
YOUR HARDWARE VENDOR.
CLICK FINISH TO CLOSE THE WIZARD.

This same image works on most of the computers (all exact same model #)
except for some.
Any other ideas?

Thanks for your assistance so far,
Graham
