Hi Ronald,

Is the problem resolved, or still open?

Well Ramesh, that's the question. I thought it didnt'work since I tried it
in windows explorer -I love the use of the old directories- and it doesn't
work there.
My question now is: should it?

It works when I right-click on a picture in 'Picture and Fax viewer'.

It's supposed to work from Windows Explorer as well. I see the "Resize Pictures" context menu (not "Resize"). See if reinstalling the image resizer powertoy helps.

I can see that too but when I click it nothing happens.
I tried reinstalling and redownloading, uninstalling etc. seceral times and
checked the registry for the right entries.

Any further help is greatly appreciated!

Ronald

Ronald,

See if a context-menu handler is causing the problem:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm
Use the ShellExView tool - method 2.

Wow!
It took some minutes to disable -first in blocks and finally 1 by 1- all of
them and I found the bastard!
It was 'ShellImageVerbs' from Windows Picture and Fax viewer.

Thanks for all your help Ramesh!

Great! Thanks for the feedback, Ronald. "Shell Image Verbs" is a built-in handler and it's surprising to see that this has caused the problem. Extracting a fresh copy of shimgvw.dll should help.

It's an SP2 6.0 file version. Others I find f.e. on Dll World, are 5.0 and
older.

Maybe the problem is SP2.
