Images displayed in Internet Explorer look fuzzy and of
low quality; they were not always like this. Looks of
lower resolution, or very pixelated.

Kevin,

No guarantee here, but it can't hurt. Remember to take note of what your
settings were before changing anything.

Try this:
click on start>settings>control panel>Display.
Click the Settings tab to select Screen Size and your Color Display. Take
note of what your settings are at the present. Then set resolution to
1024x768. Try other resolutions slightly less or more if that doesn't
achieve satisfactory results.
While you're on the Settings page for your monitor, check the color setting.
If it is set for less than the highest color setting, you might want to
change this at the same time. Don't worry, the choices which are shown to
you are pre-selected to match the capabilities of your monitor. Note: The
more colors, the harder your machine works. but the better the screen looks,
too!
When you're done click OK. Your system will probably respond by telling you
that your screen will go blank as it makes the changes, and when the screen
refreshes - at the new resolution - you will have to click OK in order to
continue. (If you fail to click OK in a few seconds, the system will
conclude that you can't see the message because of a problem in the monitor,
and will return to the previous settings).
