Image Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with Internet Explorer. jpg and gif images are not clear.
rather than a smooth image, they are blocky and pixelated. If I view the
same pages through AOL the images are fine. and other more complex images are
clear, such as animations. Any ideas?

how do I do that? I am directly connected to an adsl line, but have not
installed any software for the ISP.

sorry for my ingnorance, but how do you change the HKEY....that this page
mentions? I have windows XP

Type Regedit in Start/Run. This opens the Registry Editor. You can then
navigate to that key specified.

I found the key, but it already has a value of 1...should I try the patch fix?

goggle's discussion forums says that the problem only occurs if DPI is set to
120. If DPI is set to 96 the pics are sharp. (screen properties, advanced...)

Hi Krystan,

Thanks for the suggestion, but the images are still blocky even after
changing the dpi and resolution....any other ideas?

Ok, I found the solution. Instead of setting the UseHR to 1, it must be set
to 0. I hope this helps someone else...Be warned that the images are a
little smaller, but much clearer.
