Image loses its feathering when I print.

I have a Word document with images that are "feathered". When I print, either
to PDF or my regular printer the image loses its feathering.

what kind of image, how did you insert it into your documnet? How did
you "feather" the image (with a Word feature, or externally, or was it
like this already when you got hold of it)?

Can you print the picture from a different application?
