I have many image files in my computer.
When I try to upload a file into my yahoo site builder a message always
comes up
saying: "invalid File Name".

besides renaming files as I have done with some, is there some place deeper
in my computer that I can retrieve the actually file names that the computer
sees?
I never have a problem capturing any images in my picture files when I am in
My Documents.
Why is everything else outside my computer seeing every picture
as an "invalid file"?
Thanks in advance.

"Invalid filename" suggests that something is wrong with the name or path
being passed. What is an example filename you are trying to upload? Do
you have the same problem uploading files outside of the My Documents
folder?

You might have better luck getting an answer at a Yahoo support site specific
to site builder.

Who is saying it's an invalid file name? Yahoo? Seems like it must be. In
which case, check Yahoo's rules for filenames. It could be many things,
including names too long for Yahoo's software to manage.

They're the same. Your computer and Yahoo all see them as hex values to
state it overly simplified.
So HOW do you rename the files that makes them acceptable? Think about
the differences.

Ah, there's a possiblity: Some of those may be very long filenames!

It sounds more like it's a Yahoo thing. You need to accomocate whatever
their requirements are.
