I'm unable to spell check a swedish document using Word 2007

I have Windows XP and Word on my C disk and Windows Vista and Word 2007 on my
E disk. I'm able to spell check a swedish document using Word on Windows XP
but it fails on Word 2007. Installing Proofing Tools (2002) on Vista is not
supported.
So I'm wondering if I can get Word 2007 on the E disk to use dictionaries on
the C disk.

Because it's Office 2007, not 2002...

Probably not.

*Possibly*, the spell-checking (and ONLY the spell-checking) will work if you
copy the *.lex file to the same location as the other *.lex files.

Hans, Did you get it to work? I have moved to Office 2007 English language
version. I am going to try using the .lex files from Swedish the Swedish
proofing tools for Office 97 as Cindy suggested. Will let you know if it
works.

Hi Bill,

No, I'm still unable to spell check Swedish documents in Word 2007.
I tried copying the Word XP files to the Word 2007 folder but Word 2007
did not use them.
I found a document describing the language support in Office 2007.
It turns out that this support has been changed quite a bit.
So I'm now waiting for Microsoft to release the rest of the Office 2007
language support. According to the document I found, the plan is to
release the support in March or April 2007.

Hej Hans,

I was going to say, "Fancy meeting you here!" Hope all is well at your end
Hans. Yes, I also went through all that rigamarol trying to use old files and
looking for info on Microsoft's site. So we're on the same hunt after a CD or
download that probably will show up in March or April. I can phone you when
I hear that it's available.

But actually, I don't know where to look to find out if it's available--any
ideas on that?

Hej Bill,

The way I understand it, Microsoft is planning to release something that they
call Multi Language Interface packs. Each such MLI contains support for a
bunch of languages and for Office 2007.
They will also release something called Single Language Interface packs
containing support for one language. These SLIs will only be available online.
I assume we will need to check Microsoft Sweden's homepage now and then
to find out when the SLI for Swedish becomes available.
