I'm having problems writing a floppy to a CD Windows Me ubgraded

I am trying to copy a written floppy disc to a cd. I have tried it on
several different cd's, but I keep getting a message when I try to open the
cd "CAN NOT LOAD WORD FOR WINDOWS 6.0 FILES. I have tried to open the cd on
a brand new XP computer, I get the same message. Can someone help please??
I'm a dummy when working on computer.
