IIS: "Unexpected error 0x8ffe2770"

Hello,
I have such problem. Please help.
My websites ceased functioning in IIS 5.1 (Windows XP Professional).
IIS interface shows icon "Error" at default web site. When I choose Run from
menu I receive a message:

Unexpected error 0x8ffe2770

I reinstalled IIS but it doesn't help. Resoring Windows XP partition from
backup doesn't help, either.

Better to ask in an IIS group. Notice this group is for XP, NOT IIS.
