IIS and PWM - Getting them to work!

Peter

I am trying to install Internet Information Services and Personal Web
Manager so that I can test .asp web pages under Windows 2000
Professional.

I have installed both IIS and PWM as instructed. However, I am
experiencing the following problems:

1. In IIS under 'Tree' I have connected to 'peter' (me) and it is
showing 'Default FTP Site (Stopped)' and 'peter (Stopped)'. Trying to
start either of them gives the following message - 'The service did
not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.' How
do I start them?

2. In IIS 'Help' I get the following message - 'Internet Information
Services
If you have IIS installed, you can view the product documentation by
typing http://localhost/iisHelp/ in your browser address bar and
pressing ENTER. I do this and get a 'The page cannot be displayed'
message from IE. How can I get the documentation?

3. In PWM-Main-Publishing it is showing - 'Web publishing is on. Your
home page is not available because "Default Document" is off.' I have
'Enable Default Document' checked on the Advanced screen. How do I
turn "Default Document" on?

4. 'Help' from PWM gives the message - 'The extensive documentation
for Internet Information Services requires that the server be running.
Please start the server and try again.' How do I start the server?
