IIFP install trouble

I am having trouble installing IIFP.

I have:
-Win2003 enterprise (R2 beta)
-SQL server 2000 SP3

When I try to install IIFP and point it to the SQL database, I get the
following error.

"Identity Intagration Feature Pack SP1 requires a running instance of MS SQL
server 2000 with SP3 (8.00.760) or later. Install the correct SQL server
version or SP and make sure the service is running before installing IIFP
SP1."

I think I have met the IIFP requirements, but still having the error.

Any thought?

Which version of IIFP? Pre-SP1 required SQL Enterprise edition.

Have you installed a named instance of SQL or the default?

I would also try updating SQL to SP4.
