are they easy to reinstall also programmes or should i
use original cds.is it worth buying back up sortware

norton updatse. do i have to worry about regerstation of
xp, and to end ive put in new ram usb2/fivewire wil that
be recognized.info time reload cd 2 years old i dont wont
to phone them at 1£min for help.

All updates will need to be reinstalled since the installed updates
can not be saved for future use.
However since SP-2 is available there are not any others at this time.

As for drivers, get them directly from the manufacturer if they are
needed.
Do not get Drivers through Windows Update.

Programs will need to be reinstalled from the original media.

You will need to activate windows again but you will probably be able
to activate on the internet.

You'll have to reinstall all updates.

are they easy to reinstall

Yes.

also programmes or should i
use original cds.

With the exception of an occasional trivial program, all programs
have pointers to them in many places--in the registry and
elsewhere. You can't just reload them from a backup, but have to
reinstall them from the original CDs.

If you have anything will cause you pain if you lose it, you
should have backup software. Most people need to backup
regularly, but I can't answer for you.

do i have to worry about regerstation of xp,

No. You will have to re-*activate* it (registration is completely
optional), but that's easy and is nothing to worry about.

and to end ive put in new ram usb2/fivewire wil that
be recognized.

Yes.
