Please help! I'm a computer idiot.I'm running windows 98.
When I try to open Internet Explorer, I get a message that
says "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." Then when I check "don't send a report" I
get a message that say "This program has performed an
illegal operation and will be shut down." Details
state:"IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module
KERNEL 32.dll AT 017f:bff7a379." and then a bunch of
Refisters and Stack dump. I have no clue as to what to do.
Can anyone help me?

Not that I'm an expert but...while looking for the answer to my own question, I did see that your exact question was listed under FAQs in the IE 6.0 section. It gives you the play by play on how to fix it there. Good luck!

I've got the same problem and couldn't find the proble or answer in the FAQs I found. I'm obviously looking at the wrong FAQs. Can you direct me to the right spot.

Thanks
