iexplore not closing properly

I am having a problem with iexplore running at 95% and cpu
at 100% even though internet explorer is not open. It is
like the program is not closing completely. I have run
full virus scan to no avail. Any one else having this
problem?

Just to be sure - the antivirus program you used is a current one and
the definitions are up to date? If yes, then remove spyware with tools
like Spybot Search & Destroy and/or Ad-aware and see if that helps.
Also check in Task Manager to see what processes and applications are
running when you experience the difficulty.

Are you using active desktop? You may have a web page on your active desktop
that might be stuck.
