Hi,

I am having a problem with a bogged down machine. It's an
HP Pavillion a520n, fast system, windows xp home edition.
Here's the problem; I start browsing in IE 6.0, when
finished close the window. After a while, I am getting
slower and slower, I open up task manager and there are
sometimes up to 12 instances of IEXPLORE.EXE in the
proccesses window and none listed in the applications
side. Why is this happening and how can I stop it. I am
running 2.20 Ghz AMD Athlon XP processor, have Norton
AntiVirus, Popsubtract and Webroot spy sweeper... none
find any problems... HELP!!

Sounds like the same thing that was happening to me when I got the
"about:blank" browser hijack. Here's how I solved it:
