iexplore.exe error message occurs when closing window

Whenever I close an open window in IE, I keep getting the "IE has encountered
a problem & needs to close..." message, with the following Error Signature:

AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0

Any insights into what might be causing this and possible fixes would be
greatly appreciated.

The first troubleshooting step is to ensure that your computer is 100%
virus/malware-free. See this link for steps to do that:

After you've done that and know your computer is clean, if you are still
having problems post back. Please include information like what version
of XP (Home/Pro), Service Pack level, what the malware scans showed,
and anything else that will help us help you.
