IEXPLORE.EXE Applications Erroe

HI ...can someone please help me .... have 2 problems .....

#1- on the bottom of the browser ...I guess its called the progress bar? the
one at that shows you that its downloading when you click on a page....well
somehow it is no longer there and I am not sure as to get it back so I can
see whats going one when I click on a page.

and number two

#2 when I close my browser I get and erroe messages that reads---
IEXPLORE.EXE - application erroe...the instructions at "Oxffff02f9"
referenced memory at "Oxffff02f9" the memory could not be read


Can someone please please help me fix this????? (

It is called the Staus Bar
Check it in View-Status Bar

In what operating system?
What were you doing before you closed IE?
Perhaps reading a .pdf file?

I'm just closing the window with the x at the top right hand corner ...it
happens no matter what site I am on ....and I'm using Windows XP pro s2....I
think thats what its called ....allot of people told me there are may
problems with this edtion....

Sorry I also forgot to men5tion that I reinstalled windows this morning and I
still have the problem ....with the error closing the browser
