iexplore.exe - Application Error

When I go to close Internet Explorer (version 6.0) on my
computer, by clicking on the "X" at the top right hand
corner of the browser window, I get an error message that
reads:

iexplore.exe - Application Error
The Instruction at "0x02543760" referenced memory
at "0x02543760". The memory could not be "read". Click
on OK to terminate the program.

After I click okay, the browser window closes.

Any ideas what the problem might be or how I can solve
it??? Thanks for your help.

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
