How can I clear the history folder? Whenever I try to clear the history
folder all it does is collapse everything back into the Today folder. I
click on Today and everything I tried to clear is still there. I have IE set
to keep pages in the history folder for 0 days. This isn't a major issue,
its just annoying me. Thanks in advance.

Start | Run | Type: inetcpl.cpl | OK
Or right click the Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop.
Or: Start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options |
General tab | Clear History button | Yes

[[Empties the History folder. This folder stores shortcuts to the pages you
viewed during this and previous browsing sessions.]]

Yep, that did it. Thanks.

I wonder though, whats the difference between running that command and just
selecting internet options from within IE?

Was IE still open when you opened Internet Properties?
Was History open in IE?
The History pane showing?
How are you fixed for socks and underwear? Just kidding. ;-)

Seriously, when I clear the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History, I
do it with IE closed. Just a good practice. Especially if Temporary
Internet Files are loaded.

Hmm, I just tried that command again and it didn't clear the history folder.
I accessed the internet options from the control panel and cleared history
there, and it worked. When I was just doing it from inside IE sometimes it
would work and sometimes it wouldn't. It looks like the same thing is
happening now.

BTW, is there a website where I can get a complete list of run commands used
in XP Home?
