IEE1394 disappear

Hello,

I have a Sony DCR-PC105E digital camcorder, when I plug the IEE1394 link the
camcorder is detected (Sony MSDV), but some seconds after I start
transferring the data from the camcorder to the computer with any capture
software (included Adobe's one), the camcorder disconnect and only the
first seconds are transferred. Why does the camcorder disappear in Windows?

Are you leaving the camcorder on (plugged in)? Does it shut itself off
to conserve the battery because you aren't using the electrical
adapter?
