IEAcess2.dll, formerly in my C:\windows\system32 folder
(on Win XP Pro serv pack 1) scanned (Norton AV 2002 with
1/29/2004 definitions)as infected with Download.Trojan.
It is now quarantined and does not appear in the system32
folder when I look for it in windows explorer.
Is IEAcess2.dll part of IE 6, or could it be part of MSN
explorer 8 (which is also on my machine)? If I delete
this file, which browser would I need to reinstall
(assumming that IEAcess2.dll is an important file)?
This trojan is 2 years old, which raises the question of
how it got into my computer in 2004 despite active and up-
to-date Norton operating. Any insights into this second
question would also be appreciated.
