What the heck? No stop button in IE7?
I've got Vista Beta 1 installed and I can't find the stop button!
Where's the stop button!?
The Customize toolbar window doesn't even offer the stop button!
I need my stop button!!
.... Yes, I use the Stop button. I use it more than pretty much all other
buttons in IE. What do I use it for? I use it because when I'm opening up a
web browser and I know exactly what URL I want to type in, I don't want to
sit there and wait for the default page to navigate through all the
redirects, finish loading, and then finally highlight an input field
(stealing focus) before I can click back into the Address bar and start
typing the URL I want to navigate to. Internet Explorer has always been so
horribly rude at replacing the Address bar text with the current web page's
URL, completely ignoring the fact that I'm sitting there typing out every
character of the URL I actually want to visit, and wiping it out to show me
a completely useless URL that has nothing to do with what I am trying to do!
Now Microsoft had better change this behavior and respect that the user is
typing in the Address bar, or else return the Stop button. Otherwise it'll
mean war, and Firefox keeps winking at me, in a rather seductive way.
