Until January I had no troubles to reach websites.
Since then IE7 displays the message
Internet Explorer can not display the webpage
Have read the q&a in this group
Have done what was suggested
Also winsock repair didn't solve the problem
The websites I can't reach are
www.vodahost.com
www.klm.com
When using at commandpromt: ping www.klm.com
pinging 171.21.122.771
reply from 10.1.1.134 destination net unreachable
this is 4 times repeated.

This is not only on 1 computer.
It is on all 3 computers at 3 different addresses where I tried

Who can help me?

they are probably blocking ICMP (ping times out)
try a nslookup

do you have javascript turned off? both sites require this. if this
doesn't resolve the issues, delete all temp internet files

I've tried the nslookup but maybe with wrong subcommands
Results say nothing but timed out

Java script turned off
Temporary Internet files deleted
ping results to: destination net unreachable
tracert results to:Unable to resolve target system name www.klm.com,.
This result is obtained for whatever site I tried, even those sites I can
reach with IE&, like www.microsoft.com/
Getting a bit desperate.

You need to turn Java script on - Barb Bowman says both sites require
Java script.

You know, whether Javascript turned on or off makes no difference.
I've asked a friend in the same neighbourhood to see these websites but with
another ISP. No problem.
So I guess there's something with the ISP.
This is in Indonesia and it's very difficult to reach the right people of
the ISP
which is the national telephone company.
Who is blocking ICMP? The ISP or the website? One website is an airline and
the other is a webhost.
They have no interest to block.
What could be wrong when ping and tracert not only can't find those websites,
but also other websites which I can see without problems.

This result of ping:
Pinging origin.klm.com [171.21.122.77] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 10.1.1.134: Destination net unreachable. (4 times)
This is result of tracert
---------- Tracing a route to www.klm.com ----------
Unable to resolve target system name www.klm.com,.

Tried http://171.21.122.77
Same result. IE can not display the webpage.
It certainly has to do something with DNS.
I've a website at vodahost and use that for e-mail also (no problem)
I can reach my website, but can't reach www.vodahost.com

Today I had a contact at a service center of TELKOM (the ISP)
There they also failed on the deskcomputer, but on a 'public' computer there
was no problem to reach both of tose websites.
Maybe TELKOM has to fix something at their nameserver
