IE7 Beta validation error

J

Jim

Has anyone got anywhere with this problem:-

Install of IE7 beta insists on running automatic validation of XP which
fails:_
Setup was not able to automatically validate your copy of Windows

Running WGA manually and XP is validated ok so it's something in the
"automatic validation" from within the IE7 beta install.

Any help would be appreciated.

As of yet, it hasn't gone away. I've tried it on two machines which I
know to have valid licenses - with the same result. It's annoying to
say the least.

As for checking the beta groups, I don't know which ones to look for,
or if I can even access them. The DVD I got at the launch event last
tues doesn't seem to have any info on them (I'lll check again, I might
have missed it.)

Could someone please point me in the right direction. I know, I'm
lame. :)
