I'm running XP SP2. Recently upgraded IE to 7.0. After the update (I also
updated update software and all High priority patches) IE cannot connect to
anyth9ng, anywhere, including an apache server running on localhost.
I get:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
I have Mozilla on the same machine and it runs just fine.
I've checked all the internet options in IE - no proxy servers, connects via
LAN, etc.
A Possbly related problem began at about the same time: MYSQL administrator
connects to MySQL servers (localhost and remote) just fine, but clients
cannot connect to either remote or localhost..
Anyone have any ideas? I'm running out of hair to pull out.
Thanks for any help,
Gene
