IE6 window does not shut down

While browsing through Internet some of the windows do not
shut down. I have to go to Task Manager and close the
windows. What is causing this problem and hope can it be
resolved.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
