ie6 will not open

When I click on a desktop icon, ie6 will not open. I have
to ctl, alt, del, end program for Internet Explorer, then
ie opens. After that, Ie will open fine until the next
shut down and reboot. I have to do this every time I boot
my pc.

Is the desktop icon linked to the correct folder of IE? Delete it and
recreate another desktop icon.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
