IE6 Will not start after powering computer on

I have a strange problem with IE6 it started about 2 weeks
ago - I am running windowsME the problem is that when I
start IE6 after powering on the computer it will not start
CTL-ALT-DEL shows not responding so I end the task then I
restart IE6 again and it starts OK and will work until I
turn off the computer. Any help would be appreciated

I forgot to mention that I have tried repairing IE6 and
completely uninstalled it and and reinstalled with no luck
I have run Ad-Aware and Spybot
