IE6: Text boxes doesn't accept input, no right click menu, not able to download files

OS: Windows 98SE
IE 6 (can't get exact version, when clicking Help -> About -> Messagebox
with: Error 96: undefined error)

Example: www.google.com and other sites
Text boxes does not accept any input

Right clicking on any website does not produce a context menu.

Other sites:
Trying to download files, download dialog presented, "More Info" and
"Cancel" buttons work, but "Open" and "Save" buttons only clicks down, no
action started.

Has anyone here experienced this before.
Does anyone have a fix?

I have looked at support.microsoft.com and searched google from another PC,
but couldn't find any related articles.
