IE6 stops working

I have Internet Explorer 6.0.28 on my XP system. I
picked up a virus TROJ_SPOONER.B, and after I removed it,
have had trouble with IE6. I can connect to the net OK,
can get and send email, but cannot access any
website : "the page cannot be displayed". But in XP
there seems to be no 'repair' option in add/remove
programs, or in fact no entry even for IE. I have only
IE6.0.26 on a diskette, so I cannot reinstall, and since
I cannot connect, can't download either. I have set all
IE security/privacy/programs/advanced tabs to default.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
