IE6 staying in memory

Internet explorer is staying resident in memory after
being closed, today I had 34 instances in the task
manager, is there are patch I need?
 
Oh yeah, I sure hope nobody is stupid enough to click on an executable
posted in a newsgroup, ricky. Val, please scan with a current antivirus
using updated definitions. Is the machine clean? Post back for more
help if you need it.

Hi Malke,

I have updated the Norton's definitions and run a
complete scan, no viruses detected, any other clues?
