IE6 Serice Pack update results in scroll bar problem

I have identified an irritating problem with IE 6 Service Pack, also identified as KB824145, aka V4 Update. The symptom is that following the update, when you click in the scroll bar area of IE6 trying to get a page down using a mouse click in the scroll bar area, it goes almost 2 pages down. This has occurred with my Toshiba XP-Home laptops and XP-Pro clone desktop. It is not readily apparent till you open a long document with the need to scroll down the page. I have checked with friends and their's does the same. We have all un-installed this IE6 service pack using the Add & Delete Programs feature and await a fix. Thanks for the help, Bill

CONGRATULATIONS!! You are the one billionth person to have discovered this
well known fact. Normally I would tell you how remiss you are for not
having read even a small portion of this newsgroup, first, before making
your post -- because then you would have realized how many others have
already done so -- but then it's Christmas, so in the spirit of the season,
I will refrain. :)

Cheers,
Joe

Merry Christmas Joe

I would not have even known what to look for I searched for scroll and just
found 4 messages. Was about to ask but then remembered that there was a
search.

By the way. I found a different search the other day and can not find it
again. The one is used is the one on the right hand side of OE. Is there
another one somewhere in OE One that searches newsgroups

Happy holidays Roger.

I haven't used OE as my newsreader in quite some time (I use Xnews now),
so I cannot remember what it is, and isn't capable of doing, search-wise.
However, Google is the thing you probably want to check out. It is the
tool of choice for searching just about anything you want from the Usenet
forums. It can be found here:
http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en

It's usage is pretty self-explanatory, but for example, if you wanted to
search this particular NG for all posts with a subject containing the
word "scroll", that were posted over the past month, this would be the
results ...
