Scrolling in IE6

My Compaq Wheel mouse recently started scrolling too far when I click in the
vertical scroll bar area, only in IE6 and Outlook Express 6. It used to go
up/down 1 page; now it scrolls much
further. I switched to a Compaq 2-button mouse, rebooted, installed it, and
got the same behavior, so went back to the wheel mouse. What setting
controls this and how do I change it back? It's interrupted my whole rhythm
of working on the machine and is very annoying.

Have your tried going to control panel/ mouse and changing
your scroll selection? Might be worth a shot.

If you installed the latest security update (Q824145) that
is probably the source of your problem. It breaks normal
scrolling behavior. You can uninstall the patch, but that
does have security risks. I hated it so much that I
uninstalled the patch.
