IE6 search problem

Saffy

I have a problem with my IE and wonder if someone could help. I use IE
6.0.2800 and windows XP professional with service pack 1.

When I type any words into the search bar Yahoo searches for
"q1=AACAAAAAAAAAAA--&q2=REJEcg--" instead. If I unistall all the Yahoo
stuff the MSN search does the same. If I type in a full web address there
is no problem so I can therefre go to www.google.co.uk to search, but its
annoying not having the use of my search bar.

I posted to a security forum because I initially tought it was a virus or
adware but it doesn't appear to be, and now they have run out of ideas to
try

So far I have run Adaware, Spybot, Ewida, regsearch, Avast and Kaspersky
online scanner. I have deleted all temporary files. I have run system file
checker and done a system restore back to before Saturday when the problem
started.

I am totally at a loss as to what to do now other than delete everything and
start again which seems rather severe.

Please can someone help.

Saffy.

Y'know, this looks like an encoding issue to me. Go to view/encoding and tell
us what your settings are.

Unicode (UTF-8) is selected
Left to right document is selected

Is this the information you wanted? I would love for it to be as simple as
clicking something else!
