IE6 saves as JPEG instead of JPG

Have been searching everywhere for solution: Saving
images from a website saves as JPEG instead of JPG.
Also, I used to be able to just rename the file without
entering the extension. Any ideas???

No, it isn't the same. If you read what my concern was,
maybe you would understand.

However, I fixed the problem when I changed my IE6 import
settings in my registry. Thanks,

I have same problem and Know there is a solution out here .I just
reinstalled XP OS and am trying to find answer form last spring. It
involves changing default extension on saved files to .jpg instead of
;.jpeg. This allows file save dialog box to show jpg file list when
saving files. [won't show jpegs]

Hi
Any help on this would be appreciated. What did you do to
change the registry?
Thanks
