IE6 problem with SSL

Currently, we are running IE 6.0.2800.1106 on W2K Advanced
Server. For some reasons, we no longer can connect to any
SSL-enabled web sites (https://) As a result, we keep
getting the Windows Update error (0x800c0005) since it
will need to connect to their https:// site. I would
appreciate any suggestion.

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443. See also

PERHAPS... How many of us over the past few months got the google update????? With the pop-up blocker??? I have been trying to fix the windows update error 0x800C005, and SSL problems for some time, trying everything.... I just went and disabled the pop-up blocker in Google, and everything is working....:)
