IE6 not working with 2Mb broadband.

I had half megabit broadband for a long time, then a couple of weeks ago I
upgraded to 1Mb and everything still worked fine. Then a few days ago I got
greedy and upgraded to 2Mb, but as soon as it was switched on IE6 stopped
working and I'm now having to use the AOL browser. What now happens in IE6
is, whatever website I try to goto I get "The website may have moved" error
in the page area, the address bar just says "http:///" (3 slashes instead of
2) and the page refreshes repeatedly until I go back to "about:blank". It's
as if 2Mb is too fast for IE6, but I know that can't be true.

I've asked AOL about this problem and they haven't got a clue. Has anyone
else had this problem and if so is there a setting in IE I can change to
correct this problem? I'd really appreciate some help.

My specs: Pentium 4 2.5ghz, 512MB RAM, 80GB hard drive, Windows XP Home SP2.

Thanks.
