ie6 loses stauts bar

The status bar at the bottom of the screen is some times not there
until I click on view status bar. The checkmark sometimes dissappears
under the "view status column". Any ideas what went wrong. Thanks

Status Bar setting doesn't stick

Check the Show_StatusBar and Show_URLinStatusBar values under this key in
the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

Set it to no then reboot before starting IE. Now set the status-bar as you
want it.
