IE6 Help!

Jimmy

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I am having
an IE problem and can't figure out what the problem is. My internet
works great and I have no problems there. I can view any webpage in
Firefox, but nothing in IE loads, except my work intranet. My work
intranet loads, but thats it. When i type in any other webpage, it says
for example at the bottom, "loading google.com..." but it never loads,
the screen just stays white, no errors, no page cannot be displayed, it
just never loads. I am totally confused by this, especially since my
Firefox works awesome. I however, need IE to work with a certain
webpage, so if anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank
you!! - Jim

Hi Jimmy,
If this is the work computer then consult your system administrators. They
may be only allowing you access to the intranet via IE and blocking all
other internet access. Don't forget your work computer is owned by your
company and is not a 'personal computer'. Some companies are very strick
with this policy as a security concern(to stop the theft of sensitive
information or the download of malicious software). You may have to visit an
internet cafe or use a friends computer to access the site you want.

If this is your home computer, then again consult your system administrators
who set up the connection to your intranet site. They will have to provide
you with an alternative internet connection that will allow you access to
the internet.

Regards.
