IE6 Hangs clicking Address bar

When I click the arrow key on the address bar, Internet explorer hangs with
an hourglass. You have to exit and you get a message that the program is not
responding.

Any ideas?

I hve more questions than answers, although your answers to the questions may
very well help you solve your issue.

Which version of IE, to include SP?

Which version of Windows, to include SP?

Do you have updates set to automatically download & install?

When did the problem begin?

Does this occur with all web sites or some web sites?

Do you have a software firewall? If yes, turn it off. Close all instances
of IE. Open IE. Does the problem persist?
