IE6 hang

Using IE6 SP1 with all the latest patches. Running it in WinXP Pro SP1
with a P4 2Ghz 512RDRAM.

Up until today whenever I would double click the IE6 icon the browser
would open instantly. Now there is a lag from when I click the icon
until it opens. I haven't installed anything new and all other
programs open as fast as they always did except IE6.

Any ideas what would be causing this lag in opening and a fix to
resolve it? It also lags when I go to open a second or third browser
also.

I have the same issue. Mine started a couple of weeks
ago. Do you know if you recently installed a patch,
security update, or an SP? I have tried going back and
removing recent updates with no luck.

The patch I had was Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer
(824145)
Issued: December 11, 2003 I removed it and still had the same lag
problem so I put it back. Still have the lag problem.

I have the exact same problem you 2 are having...Did you
get any answers emailed to you yet? Mine started
approximately 2 months ago, maybe a little less.

Anyone with any ideas on this, we would appreciate the
help.
