IE6 is displaying place holders, boxes with a little red
X, where GIF images should reside. I couldn't find
anything in the MS Knowledge base. Has anyine found a
fix??? Thanks

I also had that problem. Some pages would be fine, others
only had the "Red X" image placeholders (Google News, for
instance). I tried numerous "fixes", including all that
Frank Saunders told us about (I apprediate his time and
consideration). No joy, totally bummed out.

Then I downloaded Netscape 7.1 (free!!!!) and started
using it. All is well.
