Hello!

The problem: ie6 (Windows XP Home SP2) load CPU for 25% - 50% for each
process. So, 2 - 3 windows of browser and computer is very slowly... And when
I open Task Manager I see the process NOT "iexplore.exe", I see
"IEXPLORE.EXE" .

Maybe this CPU freeze due the strange process behaviour? I never saw
IEXPLORE.EXE (with CAPS) before...

Thank you for help.

With best regards, Alexandr.

No, that isn't the problem; my Iexplore.exe is shown in all capitals.
How much RAM do you have? Could you have malware slowing down the computer?

No malware. I check it with spybot 1.4 & Mcafee 8.5i Enterprise with
anti-spyware module. And this slowing only with IE. So without ie process PC
works normally.

You might empty the cache.. Open Internet Options, General tab, click
the "Delete Files" button. Or disable plugins and see if that speeds it up.

One of the many IE help sites:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm Click "I", scroll down to IE
section.

Do you have other toolbars installed other than IE?.
If you do try to uninstall them and do the4 following:
1= Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .

Click on General Tab (1st Tab on the left) and you will see a Button called
[ Clear History ..] click on it to clear your History caches, then click on
[Delete Files..] to delete Internet Files created over the time, click on [
Delete Cookies...] to delete your cookies left by visiting websites.

= Then try to Disable the Add-Ons on your Browser somehow installed on your
browser, On how to disable the Add-ons follow this:
Click on Programs Tab and then click the Manage Add-Ons Button there Disable
the None/Not Verified Plug-ins/Add-ons ( you can Renable them one-by-one
later and see which is the culprit or you can send them here in your next
post) and click [OK] to confirm your Changes.

Click on Advanced Tab and scroll down under the browsing option and uncheck
this box:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) and click Apply
then Ok to close your IE Properties.

Scan your computer with online scanner from here:
http://www.pandasecurity.com/activescan
http://www.trendmicro.com
And also for malwares from here:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

3... You may have a bad RAM try to test your RAM by running Memtest by
downloading this tool and unzip it and make a floppy or CD/DVD and run it on
Reboot.
http://www.memtest.org/
You may need to reposition/reset the RAM sticks in their slots.
Look in the Event viewer for any Error Messages and post them here if the
above didn't help.

nass
