IE6 "done with errors"

Nan

Except for my home page, every page on the net loads with
a yellow triangle at the bottom and the message, "done
with errors". Why? Is this a harmful problem? I have
contacted Symantec - not a security or virus issue,
uninstalled and reinstalled IE6 and any applicable
patches, and purchased spyware - computer clean. Nothing
has helped. What should I do?

"Done with errors" is a leftover from the days when Microsoft was attempting
to modify Sun's Java Virtual Machine (basically a programming language) for
its own purposes. It means that the web page was not written in strict
conformance with Microsoft's version of Java. Microsoft has since abandoned
that effort and Sun's version of Java predominates. Nonetheless, the warning
built into Internet Explorer was not changed.

Unless you are a web page author, the warning is meaningless.
